Cyprus Investment Programme

The Cyprus Investment Programme (the “Programme”) is the revised version of a previous scheme that encouraged high net worth individuals to do business in Cyprus. Within the same framework, and taking into consideration the strong investor interest, the Council of Ministers on the 21st of May 2018, concluded on a revised Programme, in accordance with subsection (2) of section 111A of the Civil Registry Laws of 2002-2017; the main aspects of which are outlined herein below.
The interested applicant may proceed with investments under one of the four categories mentioned below, as follows:

1. Investment in Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) or in financial assets of Cyprus companies or Cyprus organisations regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySeC).

The applicant must purchase or establish an AIF and or proceed with an investment in financial assets of Cyprus companies or Cyprus organisations regulated by CySeC, for a value of at least €2 million. These entities are obliged to utilise their capital exclusively for the purpose of conducting business in the Republic of Cyprus.

Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship – National Development Fund Reduced

A new reduced fee has been introduced for obtaining an Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship. The new reduced fund comes along with no due diligence fees upon the passport renewal after 5 years, the dependants unders 18 years old are exempted from visiting the country for the first 5 years . Addtionaly the age of the dependants parents have been reduced from 65 to 58 years old.
